Smart Hockey Magazine debuted in September 2008 and is currently entering its second season as the official publication of the British Columbia Hockey League.

Smart Hockey is published monthly during the hockey season and is distributed to subscribers and, in limited quantities, to fans of the BCHL's 17 teams at the first home game of each month.

Smart Hockey is committed to providing exceptional coverage of the league and its players, as well as BCHL graduates who have moved on to play in the National Hockey League and other professional leagues in North America and Europe. Former BCHL stars interviewed and featured in the magazine's first season included Edmonton Oilers forward Shawn Horcoff, Vancouver Canucks defenceman Willie Mitchwell, Chicago Blackhawks blueliner Duncan Keith. The magazine also aims to keep BCHL fans up-to-date with recent grads who are starring in the NCAA and CIS.

Smart Hockey Magazine welcomes feedback and questions to our monthly Fan Mailbag feature at feedback@bchl.ca.
