Coastal Conference All-Star Game roster announced
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 - Submitted by BCHL Media

The 21-man Coastal Conference roster for the 2009 BC Hockey League All-Star Game in Vernon is set, the league announced Tuesday.

A half dozen Powell River Kings headline the line-up, including four of the BCHL's top seven point-getters. Darcy Oakes and Kyle Bodie, who top the league's scoring chart with 60 and 51 points respectively, will be joined by Clay Harvey (47 points, sixth) and Erik Vos (45 points, seventh).

Kings blueliner Mat Bodie, who leads all BCHL defencemen with 25 assists, and netminder Carsen Chubak were also named to the team.

The Island Division-leading Victoria Grizzlies will be represented by four players, as wingers Evan Pighin and Justin Courtnall, defenceman Lee Baldwin and goaltender Anthony Grieco will all be heading to Vernon.

Grizzlies head coach Geoff Courtnall will fill the same role for Coastal Conference, while Powell River counterpart Kent Lewis will serve as his assistant. Coaching assignments for the game were decided based upon team winning percentages as of December 1st.
