Clippers' Boivin commits to Colorado College
Thursday, August 13, 2009 - Submitted by Nanaimo Clippers

The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that defenceman Michael Boivin has committed to join the WCHA's Colorado College Tigers for the 2009/10 season.

Boivin joined Nanaimo midway through the 2007 season and has since played in 78 games in a Clipper uniform, recording 13 goals and 23 assists for 36 career points.

Boivin joins fellow 2009 Clipper Defenseman Colin Dueck (Yale), Anders Franzon (Vermont), and Connor Krukowski (Manhattanville) who have accepted NCAA scholarships.

"The Nanaimo Clippers Hockey Club is extremely proud of Michael's achievements and wish him much success in Colorado," Clippers head coach and general manager Bill Bestwick says. "The Nanaimo Clippers Ownership and Management would like to thank Michael for his contributions to the Clipper organization while in uniform."
