Quesnel defenceman Raibl commits to NCAA Div. I RIT
Tuesday, February 9, 2010 - Submitted by BCHL Media

The Quesnel Millionaires Junior A Hockey Club is pleased to announce that defenceman Eliot Raibl has committed to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2010/11 NCAA Division I hockey season.

Raibl has enjoyed a career year on the Millionaires' blueline, setting a personal best with 42 points in 54 games this season. His 36 assists are good for fourth amongst BCHL defencemen, and his most recent point was his 100th since making his league debut with the Surrey Eagles during the 2005/06 campaign.

"The Quesnel Millionaires would like to congratulate Eliot on receiving a scholarship from RIT," says head coach Glen Watson. "On and off the ice, Eliot brings great leadership skills to our community."

A native of Vancouver, B.C., Raibl will join former teammates Scott Knowles and Adam Hartley with the Tigers. RIT, which is based in Rochester, New York, plays in the Atlantic Hockey conference and currently sports five BCHL graduates.

Four current players -- Salmon Arm's Greg Noyes, Powell River's Josh Watson and Matt Garbowsky, and Langley's Brandon Thompson -- have committed to the program for future seasons.
