The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) are pleased to announce that Dylan Exton, 1986 born forward from Calgary Alberta, has committed to Wayne State University for the upcoming 2007-08 season. Wayne State University, located in Detroit Michigan, is a comprehensive university consisting of eleven colleges and schools. WSU offers more than 350 academic programs including 126 bachelor’s degree programs, 139 master’s degrees programs and 60 doctoral degree programs.
The Wayne State University Warriors are a NCAA Division I team playing in the College Hockey America (CHA). The Warriors program was started in the fall of 1999 and has seen the team win three consecutive CHA tournaments from 2001-03. In 2003, the Warriors made the NCAA Tournament field in just their fourth season. This year the Warriors will start the season playing in the 17th annual Nye Frontier Classic at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Dylan Exton joined the Prince George Spruce Kings for the 2005/06 season; playing in 118 regular season games over the past two years scoring 22 goals and adding 42 assists. The Spruce Kings would like to thank Dylan for all of his contributions to the organization and would like to wish him all the best in his scholastic and hockey pursuits. Dylan will be joining team mate, Jordan Inglis, along with fellow BCHL team mates Tyler Ruel (Alberni Valley Bulldogs), Kyle Funkenhauser (Surrey Eagles) and Brock Meadows (Salmon Arm Silverbacks) as freshman players with the WSU Warriors.
